I don’t really understand what problem you have so I just
offer some info that may be pertinent to your situation.

The modes of editing Instruments(drums) in SD3 is:
    single whole instrument,
    multiple selection of whole drums,
    single articulation/stack,
multiple selection of articulations/stacks in one instrument.

There is no such thing as “multiple selection of instruments but only
    some selected articulations/stacks within them”.

However you can get that by using a Macro Control Knob.

ok thanks. Macro was my next port of call so I’ll take a look at that. Your explanation was good even though you say you didn’t understand my situation 🙂

    Cheers

I’m now a little confused as how do I get a Macro to show up on my other Presets? Can I save it or is it specific to that preset? I may have the wrong way of working here.

I have presets for all the kits. What do I need to do so that I can use a macro across the kits to edit them? Is this possible? The macro I have on the toms would be exactly the same on every kit.

The presets contain the macro state. So, if you want to keep your
current macros while loading a preset, you need to to use the
“Select Parts” and uncheck the “Load Macro Controls”.

Then you can save the preset with these new macros
if you like or just use them temporarily.

Macros working great. Well at least they do when I stop making mistakes. Great way for editing a parameter or turning one off/on on multiple toms/instruments. I need to think more carefully while I’m doing though. Cheers
