Hi,
I was fiidling with SD3 couple of hours and it’s awesome! I didn’t find however the way to have multiple articulation within one incoming midi note. I mean for example you have ” snare mid center” from velocity 1 to 50, then “snare center” from 51 to 120, and “snare rimshot” from 121 to 127. I like to use this with my e-drum and can easily do it inside DAW. I just wondered could it be possible to do inside SD3 too? And if it is, how?
Yes, it’s possible! In Superior Drummer 3, this is called stacking. To create a stack – right click on the drum, select “More” > “Stack – Add To” and there you select what articulation you would like the stack to end up on. You can do this multiple times to add more stacked articulations. Finish by selecting each stack articulation and give it a range in the Velocity Range property box.
You can read more about this in the manual – https://www.toontrack.com/manual/superior-drummer-3/3/3-4-drums-tab-header-bar – under the header “The More Menu”.

Yes ok. I tried it and it’s nice. However this way it is done just for certain instrument(s) that are stacked. The paraneter is not universal so that when you want to change snare you have to change all stacked ones too, right?
If you change the main snare, the stacks will still be there – if that was your question?

Hi Henrick I’m trying to set up the mulitple articulation from one midi note thing but I cant find a parameter that you called ‘velocity range’.I see velocity curve and velocity gate but no ‘velocity range’.
Sorry for the confusion – the Velocity Gate is the control you need
