Hey guys. I’ve got the Main Room kit in EZD3 all set up and I want to multi out to Studio One. I’ve done this a million times. But right now the multi channel out sounds like it’s about 2 or 3db quieter than the stereo out. I’ve been careful to set everything exact and I’ve set up all the corresponding channels between EZD and Studio One. I don’t know what else to tell you…it’s all very vanilla, there’s no plugins, I’ve set up the exact channels in Studio One that play in EZD. Any tips? Thanks
In a multichannel mix, you are not going to have any type of bus processing like you would on the stereo out. You have to supply your own bus processing within the DAW.

Thanked by: MattHey dude, you nailed it I think. I’ve got the tight room kit on now, Classic Pop basic. There are 2 kick channels, 2 snare an OH kit and an OH mono for the song I’m doing. There’s no master stereo channel in EZD as such. There’s a tape drive control below the channel faders in EZD set at 50%…but with multi out into my DAW there’s no effect in changing the drive control knob. But when EZD is set to Stereo Out into my DAW the drive control knob has an effect. So I think you’re right. Man, this has bugged me for ages and I never thought of that. You’re right. Thanks very much.
It’s not whether I have nailed it or not. It is mixing 101 as well as the conditions of using multi channel. It will also beg the question of why you are want to use multi channel. If you have no advantage over the stereo channel, you are best to stick with stereo.
