I want to utilize the render mono tracks option in Cubase of each drum mic.
When setting up the SD3 mixer, (I’ve already enabled the multi-output mono option in SD3 settings) do I then pan alternating channels hard left and hard right (For example: Kick In is hard left, Kick Out is hard right, but their output is set to Output 1/2)?
Do the stereo channels like the OH and ambient render as hard left and right in separate mono channels? How does that effect the stereo imaging?
Bonus question: when rendering the MIDI into audio in Cubase, how do you get the created audio tracks to retain their SD3 names? (I watched a YouTube video of a guy rendering SD3 tracks and his tracks retained their SD3 names AND pan positions, but he didn’t explain how)?
Thanks in advance!
Cheers!

I can only answer part of the bonus question: just rename the tracks in Cubase to whatever you want.
