Where are you loading your samples from – a separate ssd or spinner drive? Are you loading the whole kit or streaming? What’s your operating system and computer?

I’m loading from an external SSD.

    Hi,

are you using (Force) Cached Mode?
Can you further specify “muffled” or provide an audio example? Is this in a DAW Project? If so, would it be possible to zip that Project and attach to a post here?

Regarding your Grooves; are you saying that your starred Favorites markings are gone or that all your actual grooves are gone?

    BR,
    John

How much ram do you have?

    @John

No, I’m not using cache mode.

Muffled is probably not accurate. Dampened with softened attacks would be better. Attack samples missing maybe. I will try to get an audio example up later.

And just the markings are gone. I imagine the grooves were gone until I reinstalled them.

    OK, audio files linked below.

    Upon project opening – https://www.dropbox.com/s/yu9upybv8sg82lc/Before.wav?dl=0

    After reloading kit – https://www.dropbox.com/s/xml9cxvtzxrn9yt/After.wav?dl=0

And this is happening in Studio One 5 as well, so it’s not just a SD3/Cubase issue. This seemed to start happening not after the most recent update, but the update just prior.

Also, I’ve since updated my OS to Monterey, 12.6.1 with the problem intact.

OK, that sounds really strange, almost like a sample rate / pitch change between the two versions. Can you ZIP the Studio One Project and attach here? Remove any other tracks, please.

Yes, very strange. I did check the amount of the loaded samples to make sure it wasn’t a case of samples missing. The amount of loaded MBs before and after reloading was the same.

The audio I linked was from a Cubase session. The zipped file with all other tracks removed is attached.

    Hi,

Could you also upload the preset which fixes the sound, please, if it’s a user preset? “Phat One Tt”?

Thanks. I see what is happening – the parameter values are getting reapplied. If you unbind the macro controls that change pitch, the pitch should stay as intended when the project is loaded.

I probably should’ve asked how to unbind macros before I did anything, but I was anxious to fix this. For this preset, I opened each macro “menu” and removed the listed property. Seemed to work.

Is there an efficient way to remove/disable ALL macros from presets? Some of my presets are tweaked versions of Toontrack presets, I guess some of which had macros. Since I don’t use them, and an a recent update is now causing parameter values to be reapplied, I need an efficient way to remove them all. Or will the next update fix what ever was broken?

Thanks! This was driving me crazy.

The next update, which is not far away, will fix it so that setting a parameter to the same value that it already has does nothing. Thanks for reporting the issue. It’s been like this for quite long I think, maybe since 3.2.8 or 3.3.0.

No, there’s no way to remove/disable all macros at once.

Looking forward to that update then.
