Hi,
i just bought an mpc element pad controller and i’m trying to get it to work with ezdrummer. Right now, it works great, i just hook up via USB and enable
it in Fruityloops (where my ezdrummer is at) and if i hit the pads, it recognizes the drums. However, what I’m wanting to do is change the pads so that if i want
i could have it play one snare on one pad and another snare on another pad or say one kick drum on one pad and a kick drum on another pad. Unfortunately,
the mpc element manual doesn’t explain in any way how to do this or if it’s even possible, but i’d imagine something like this should be possible, no? Do you
try to change the pads for it somewhere in toontrack plugin or do you try to change the pads on the mpc itself? If anyone is knowledgeable on this topic, i would
really appreciate any tips/help you could send my way thanks

EZDrummer 2 does not have the ability to change its note mapping. All note mapping changes must therefore be preformed in the MIDI controller itself.
Unfortunately we can only recommend that you search the MIDI controllers Manual for instructions on how to do this.

By MIDI controller, do you mean the MPC? or do i have to buy a midi controller to hook up to the MPC?

Yes, that’s your MIDI controller

Ok well i did do a search in the manual for how to do this on my MPC, but i couldn’t find anything related to it. I’ll continue to mess around on my own to see if i can figure out on my own outside the manual but if anyone comes across this thread and has figured this out with their MPC, please drop me a line thanks

It seems you can map the pads in the software included with the MPC.

Ok it works! The only thing kind’ve annoying about it is that you have to have the MPC software open at the same time you have your sequencer software open (in my case i’m using FL) so it’s not that bad but it would be kinda cool if i could get the pads to just stay that way somehow even when i closed out my MPC software. Otherwise, thanks a lot Scott for that link!
