Actually, I changed the name EZdrummer to 1Mayo, and EZD2 still loads fine and shows all libraries installed on the machine.

And, like the first time, when starting EZD, it generated a brand new folder that I just renamed, in exactly the same spot.

Then you must be changing the file; Mac HD > users > glbrody >application support > Toontrack

    and not

Mac HD > Library > application support > Toontrack

They are 2 totally different locations.

Does it ask for a password when you change the file name? If not then you are not in

Mac HD > Library > Application Support as it is a system library and needs the admin password to rename and delete files there.

Got it!  Asked for permission, etc. Looks like everything is loaded now. Also checked SD3, and it re-populated with everything when I launched the program. Just need to look each one over closer to make sure everything is showing up, but looks like it is at first glance.

    Thanks!

That is the user Library you are changing….

    Do this;

Open finder, go to Go To Folder

    Type in /Library

That is the library you want

Should I rename the EZdrummerINSTALL folder back to EZdrummer, or leave it?

This is what I now see in the library:

You can probably rename it back. Check after you have any updates to EZD and make sure it has had no changes. If that is the case you should be able to delete it. After backing up the folder of course. Do you use time machine?

Go make music then. You may have to authorize the libraries to the new Mac, but you should be able to authorize all in Product Manager.

    cheers mate

    Hi Lon,

Are you moving from a Mac or a PC?

Are your samples located on a separate drive or the default location?

How many EZD expansions do you have? (If you only have a few it might be easier for you to just install Toontrack Product Manager on the new machine and download and install everything there). However…….

If you want to move the sample libraries from your old computer to your new Mac the default locations are:

Mac:             Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > EZDrummer
    Windows:    C:/Program Files(x86)/Common Files/Toontrack/EZDrummer

Copy the entire EZDrummer folder to your new system

You still need to download Toontrack Product Manager to your new machine, remove the authorization for your old computer, then perform a download and install of EZDrummer (standalone and plug-ins). Once installed, start EZDrummer standalone, you should receive a message about not being able to locate your sample library and given the option to browse to the location.

YEP – on new Mac just downloaded Product Manager and installed the very first EZ Drummer install only, no further core library or packs (as they all exist on my external ssd).

opened up EZ drummer once, and quit it.

Went and gave the installed folder a different name @ Mac HD > Library > Application Support > Toontrack > EZdrummer_Original Install

Opened up EZ drummer again, and followed the prompts to redirect the pathnames to be just like they were on old Mac.

Requires close and reopen EZdrummer to take effect.

Then reopened product manager and hit Authorise All..

Bingo, this was quick and easy for me.
