I followed toontrack instructions to move libraries. I went into the application support folder, located the toontrack folder, located the EZdrummer folder. I dragged it to the new external drive. I created a new name for the old folder (EZdrummer_original). Then I deleted the EZdrummer folder from my imac. I opened EZdrummer expecting it to ask me to browse for a new location where the folder is now located, but EZdrummer just opened up as usual. I noticed that when I opened EZdrummer that the EZdrummer folder located in the Application support had reappeared. Any suggestions?

Hi,
I am puzzled by this:
I created a new name for the old folder (EZdrummer_original). Then I deleted the EZdrummer folder from my iMac.
Did you rename the ‘/Library/Application Support/EZdrummer’ folder to ‘/Library/Application Support/EZdrummer_original’ and then delete it?
Anyways, is that folder that reappeared in the Application Support an actual folder with content or a shortcut/symbolic link?
Does EZdrummer 2 function as normal? Even with the external drive disconnected?
BR,
John

It seems to me that you were looking in the wrong Library folder, the one in your home folder. Instead go to the one in the root of the system disk. The default sound library location is: Macintosh HD (or whatever the system disk is named) > Library > Application Support > EZDrummer. There is no “Toontrack” folder involved.
