I’ve been using Superior 3 and EZkeys on my internal Mac fast disk for a while now, over the years my libraries have grown and I’m finding myself using a lot of internal disk space on my mac. My mac is a macbook pro with the storage soldered in so I can’t change / upgrade it so I was thinking about leaving the binaries on the fast disk and moving the libraries to slower permanently connected hard disks with greater capacity
How do I do this as I have Superior 3 with a lot of SDX expansions and a lot of EZdrummer expansions and midi packs. and EZKeys with a few expansions
what is the best way to actually do this – or is it better to move the whole thing, in which case, same question how do I do it.
I’ve launched superior 3 in standalone mode rather than a plugin and in the settings changed the library path to the external disk and copied the data across to the external disk – it appears to be working fine, is it that simple ?
It is just that easy. If all your SDXs were in one folder on your internal drive, just move that folder to your external drive. In SD3 settings > Libraries >Browse for Library Path(s).
