    A bit confused about this.
    On a Mac Studio.

Want to move all my EZ Drummer 3 files all to one folder (when I installed I omitted this step).

As soon as I move the files, I quit the app , came back, navigated to settings and located the files but there is no “choose” or “select” option when I’m in the new folder.

If I go into the install manger, it tells me “not installed”.

    Not sure what to do,

    EZdrummer version: 3.0.4
    Operating system: macOS Monterey (12)

Is the original folder still in place? If so, then close EZD3, rename the original folder and startup EZD3. It should then be unable to locate the original libraries and give you the option to navigate to the new location.

Once you have verified everything is working you should be able to remove the original folder.

    EZdrummer version: 3.0.4
    Operating system: macOS Monterey (12)

Mac Studio M1 Max, RAM 64 GB, 1TB Drive, OSX 12.x/13.x and Windows 10 (VM)
DAW: Studio One Pro (always up to date)
DTX Express III (Extreme triggers), Nektar LX88
    OWC Thunderbay Mini (4 X 1TB Sata SSD), Express 4M2 (4 X 2TB M.2 SSD), Envoy Express (1TB M.2 SSD)
Presonus Quantum, Faderport & Faderport 8
    Black Lion Sparrow Mk2 A/D, FMR-RNP-RNC, MIDI Xpress 128, BM5A, KRK VXT4, Equator D5
    2020 Macbook Pro 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD Audio(mobile rig)

Original folder is the root – so no folder.

    Is this still possible?

The root folder? When you start EZD3 do you get a pop-up indicating that the sample libraries are not found? If so, then navigate to the new place.

If not could you go to settings > library paths and post a screen print here.

    Tx

Sample libraries are on an external SSD in the root. Want to create a folder there and just move all folders into one folder.

    Now:
    My_Ext_Drive/multiple folders

    Intention after locating:
    My_Ext_Drive/EZdrummer/multiple folders

Not sure how to upload image – doesn’t show.

Essentially when I go to search for new location, “locate” is greyed out.

I can only navigate to the new location (show in finder) but once I’m there there is no way to complete the tasks as in “choose” or “select.” I’m left hanging there.

At this point I would take the advice of  @Mick Avoidant and simply reinstall the libraries to your new location. Seems as somehow in the process of “moving” them, the libraries have become corrupt as both EZDrummer 3 and PM are not recognizing them as installed.

BTW to upload a screen print, use the “Select File” button below the input section of the forum. They real do help to diagnose problems.

    cheers

Major headaches trying to do this.

Uninstall messed things up further. Product manager telling me “no uninstaller available”
Tried doing it manually by just trashing the app has confused the PM and I’m sent into an installation loop.

I just want to start from scratch – how do I remove all traces of the original install?

    Hi there,

What happens when you try and install the EZDrummer 3 application. You mentioned a loop but more detail would be helpful.

In PM you should be able to go into EZD3 > Details > Downloads tab

Go to the hamburger menu and select verify/download then install.

    What happens?

Hey, Really appreciate you trying help out.

About the loop – before all this re-installing mess, I installed EZ2 – went fine except I could only install to internal HD – no prompt to re-locate.
After reading all the helpful advice here, I thought I uninstalled, ready for new installation.

Not sure if relevant but EZ3 was an upgrade from EZdrummer 2.

In PM- After trying to uninstall everything everything looks ready for installation on the surface but…. I see “EZ drummer 3 upgrade ready to use. No idea why it is not seen as deleted. In “show details”, says “Standalone version not installed”. From EZdrummer 3 upgrade section, downloaded and installed. Same message for the upgrade about standalone not installed. Not sure what the upgrade represents – the actual app?
So, went to Core library installation. When it went thru the process, did not ask for a location for the data, just went ahead and installed to the same location where I installed initially (not where I want it) – was a 15GB file and took about 5 seconds, so not sure what it actually did.

On further testing (see previous post) following all the above procedures it does indeed install correctly, but only the non stand-alone version. Not a deal breaker but it does indicate something is wrong.
Also, it automatically installs in the same location (not the one I chose) but on the external drive.
So when I un-installed, something is remembering where it was installed previously and not giving me the option as if it were a fresh install.
Again, after a lot of googling I thought I deleted everything related to EZdrummer (by uninstall and manually).
So I just want my system to do a “fresh” install as if it were the first time.

What happens with the standalone app? It calls the VST plugin.

Can you post a screen print (from finder) of the location of your sample library?

BTW in future, when you are posting a screen print, please don’t post your serial number.

    OK I just managed to move my entire EZDrummer library using your method. So this is what I did;

    Shutdown PM and EZD3

Copy EZX3_EZDrummer3_BrightRoom, EZX3_EZDrummer3_MainRoom, EZX3_EZDrummer3_TightRoom and Midi to another drive into a folder called EZDrummer.

Trashed all of the above from the original location and empty the trash.

Started EZD3 and it complained it could find the library and then Locate was active and allowed me to navigate to the new drive and location and Open.

Then I had to stop and start EZD3.
