I’ve been searching in the manual and forum for the best way to do the following:
I have a complete preset I’ve designed that I like, but I’ve found a factory preset that has a kick drum I prefer.
What would be the best way to recreate, as closely as possible, the preferred kick drum (top, bottom and sub samples, plug-ins, etc) into my current preset? Is there a one step “copy/paste” function, or multiple steps I should follow?
Here’s how I’m doing it now (assuming I’m duplicating just the kick from preset B to a complete preset A).
Instead of loading an entire preset, you can pick out certain instruments and mixer channels to load by going to “Select Parts…” on the preset (found in the menu arrow on the right side of the menu where you select presets). In there, select to only load the selected instruments, and only load selected mixer channels.
If you have selected the kick in the instruments tab, and select Kick in, Kick out, and Kick Sub (for example) in the Mixer tab – only those will be loaded from the preset!
