More Premier Genista Drums?

I really love the Premier Genista sound.

But when I have 3 rack toms and 1 floor tom, where are the other size Premier Genista drums?  Could do with (say) a 10″ for Rack Tom 1, a 12″ for Rack Tom 2 and a 13″ for Rack Tom 3.

Out of all the snare drum choices, I’m still searching for that ‘gun-shot’ sounding snare.  If you don’t know what I mean by that sound, listen to Dolphin Taylor of Stiff Little Fingers, St Patrix (Live) Album, 1993.  So love a snare sounding like that!

I fill all the toms with all the kits. Just use the Tom nearest to the size you want then change the pitch. There is also a setting you use to apply to make it sound natural. I forget the name as I’m not on my pc. Have you tried the rim shot articulations for the shotgun effect?

I’m still learning SD3 here…..but for that particular kit (Premier), there is no Premier Genista available if I click on my 3rd rack tom.  Therefore, how do I ‘create’ a Premier Genista in that position?

The ‘gunshot’ sound snare is NOT a rim shot!  A nice crisp sound here on the Pure Fingers Live 1993 album:

True there isn’t but you can then replace the Tom with tom2 and then there will be. I’m not in front of my pc so can’t explain better.

I understand what you mean asi have metal foundry SDX and this does have moresnares like that.

If you right click it only shows you the relevant instruments but if you click on the top item in the menu it opens up your choice to all toms
