Modern Funk

Just bought EZbass Modern Funk for EZbass and EZkeys and according to the statement on the page they were produced “Together”. Well they are not even close, wrong grove and wrong key!! I feel I just wasted my money purchasing these two midi library’s, don’t suppose I can get my money back as they are useless!

This collection of EZbass MIDI was created in tandem with the Modern Funk EZkeys MIDI and Modern Funk Grooves packs. As always, any MIDI pack is great on its own – but combined with its counterparts, they become a powerhouse of creative possibilities!

I agree with you that the disparities between packs which are supposed to work together is annoying. They should have the same number of songs, with the same names, in the same keys, and the same tempos.

However, that doesn’t mean that they don’t work together.  Just think outside the box a bit.  You can drag a piano part from EZkeys into EZbass and it will use the same chords (to the point that EZbass only uses simple chords).  You can also find the right grooves when you drag parts between the apps.

I understand that can be done but why would buy the two midi products? They are not close at all, wasted money! This is not the first midi product that has the same issue and we are getting no response from ToonTracks…just pocket the money! Contemporary R&B and Urban Jazz same issue!

Let me be the first to say that “My Face is Red”! I just worked through the Modern Funk for EZBass and EZKeys and the do work together…Damn I hate it when I am wrong but in this case I am!

When are you going to upgrade EZKeys to the new format, I know you guys are working on this but can you give us one hint when it will be available!!!

What do you think of the midi packs in modern funk? How do they compare to others you have? I am debating between funk and fusion pack.

I really like all the midi packs for modern funk, I am working with the midtempo Straight 3/4 very nice!

Now I cannot find “Chase that Funk” in Easy drummer 3! Its in Easy Keys and Easy Bass but not easy drummer 3 what am I missing!
