So I’m trying to make the hi hats quieter using the mixer in sd but it doesn’t turn them down at all. wondering what I’m doing wrong. Using Cubase 12 if that matters. Also it’s being triggered with a roland td17.
TD17 into SD3 / MOTU 8 PRE into Cubase 12
Check your routing and bleed levels.

Thanked by: Hodie HoltonWhen you say “it does it turn them down“ what do you mean by “it”? The hat channel? The amount of signal in the overheads/rooms? Have you checked the amount of bleed in other instrument mics? The signal can show up in a lot of mics.

Thanked by: Hodie HoltonTurning down the hi-hat fader only turns down the close micing. You are probably hearing them through the OH and Ambient channels. As was mentioned, you will have to check the volume of those routes in each of the channels.
