Hello,
Since about two weeks I changed playing EZdrummer from Mac to Windows 10, using it as well as stand alone, as a sample inside Fruity Loops. All went well, at least I thought so, untill I found out that while playing the ‘song blocks’ the program seems to ‘forget’ several notes; in random order the kick, hihat, snare, you name it. It’s quite annoying.
Anybody any idea? Thanks in advance.

Hi,
first, I’d like to check if you really are on 2.2.0, since there was a version 2.2.3 released?
Next, if memory serves me right, FL has the ability to “bit-wrap” 32-bit VST .dll files, or am I wrong? Just make sure you are indeed using the 64-bit version and not wrapped 32-bit version in case you installed both on your system.
Which Audio Driver are you using in FL?
How low is your Buffer Size?

John

Hi John,
After your mail I checked the EZdrummer version:I indeed have the 64 bit version2.2.3 – but not before I updated it….(some times I feel so stupid).
For now it looks that all works as it should be doing.
About the other remarks you made: is there any kind of driver I should certainly not use? And how low/high is my Buffer Size at best for EZdrummer?
Thanks very much again for helping me out!!!

Well, ASIO drivers provide much better performance than WASAPI, WDM or MME.
I do not know which audio interface you are using but there *should* be an ASIO driver for it, provided by the manufacturer.
Lower Buffer Sizes may make your DAW snappier but can also cause drop-outs and/or pops and crackles. There isn’t a general ‘best’ buffer size, it depends on what you are doing (recording or mixing) and your system resources.

Hi John,
In the mean time I found out that I have ASIO drivers and I use Focusrite as interface. It appears that I need to pay some attention to that ‘buffer’ stuff. By the way; till about two weeks ago I used EZdrummer on my Mac, never had any trouble.
Again, thank you for helping me out!

Thanked by: JohnHello John,
Back again. Tried to make a new song, and again it misses some notes. Not always, and not always the same notes, totally random. Don’t know what to do; may be do you?
