Hi!
When saving own drum presets internally in SD3, why so short preset names?
Would be nice with some more space for names like inside DAW.
And also, when changing Drum presets the Midi controller for main volume is removed so you have to use Mid Learn to set Midi controller again.
Feels a little bit awkvard.

I agree, we can allow longer names. I’ll write this down as feature request!

If I “MIDI Learn” my volume to a knob on my keyboard, so I can control it with a hardware knob, and change “Drums and Mixer Preset”, the knob still works after that. Are you doing something else?

Hi!
When I use SD3 in my DAW (Cubase 10) I map the fader of a Midi track to Master volume in SD3 using Midi Learn.
If I change Drum and Mixer preset within SD3 the midi coontroller/mapping in Cubase still works, but if I select new Drum and Mixer preset from stored presets in Cubase I loose the controlle mapping.
So I guess I need to remember to change preset in SD3 rather than in Cubase.
But if it can be fixed that would be nice.

What Cubase saves for you is what we refer to as a “savefile” or a “project”.
It contains the full state of SD3, Master volume and MIDI Learn included.

Thanked by: Henrik EkblomHi!
Ok, so the main volume is part of the drum preset so to say.
I assumed that main volume i SD3 was some kind of global setting that covered all drumsets, and that the mixer settings with their levels was part of the drum and mixer presets.
So I guess I have to go through all previously saved presets in Cubase and add midi learn mapping to fader if not already done.
Thanks for the reply!

Thanked by: Henrik EkblomWhat Cubase saves is the full state. It is not a preset.
If you want to save a drum preset you have to do that
inside SD3.
