Hey all,
I’ve been using Acoustica Beatcraft for ages now and I recently decided to upgrade to something a bit more modern with EZDrummer 2. My issue is this: I’m used to pointing and clicking boxes on a piano roll-style readout and having a drumbeat (if you’ve used Beatcraft, you’ll know what I mean). I’ve been doing this for the better part of 15 years and I’m having a hell of a time making the transition into EZD2.
My question is this, and forgive me if I sound slow:
Any help is GREATLY appreciated!
There is no Piano Roll Style editor. You should load EZD2 into a DAW, and use the DAW’s piano roll to program EZD2 manually. Otherwise, Toontrack’s Superior Drummer 3 has a Piano Roll style editor built in.
“Is there a way to have the program exactly duplicate a pre-existing drum part without having to play MIDI parts manually?”
There’s really not enough info here to know exactly what you mean. A preexisting part in your Song Track? Hold Control, Click this part, and drag it to where you want it. That’s how you duplicate a preexisting midi block in EZD2. Do rephrase the question if you’d like. Concider checking out the link in my signature if you’re just getting into the program.
