I get the message “One or more MIDI packs require a later version of EZ Drummer to work properly.”
Check for updates within EZ Drummer and it says I need an update – however, I have downloaded and installed the update and still get the message and still get that I need an update.
This is a direct result of the TERRIBLE installers you all provide which SOMETIMES allow you to choose an install path, and other times don’t. Please understand that you should ALWAYS let the user choose the install path.
I chose the install path for EZ Drummer, but the update does not let me choose, so it is probably installed in some other place. Please tell me how to fix this.
I am not specifying my EZ Drummer version below because I apparently have 2 different versions on my system.
Has the ezdrummer.dll been manually moved since it was first installed?

I believe maybe it was copied to the plugins folder for DP (because it was not being recognized where it was) – but it has been a while and I don’t recall totally.

That would explain why there is 2 copies. The updater will scan the original install location and run the update over the .dll. The installer doesn’t know of a manual movement.
Best thing to do would be to do a Windows search for ezdrummer.dll and delete them. Then run the latest update. Then set the path in your DAW to that single install location.
Is your DP 32 or 64-bit? Not sure why it wouldn’t pick up the plugin path.
