MIDI Out to another VSTi in Reaper?

Hello-

I bought the EZ Drummer 2 upgrade and love the MIDI browser and groove customization options, but I prefer the sounds I have in my Steven Slate Drums 4 Platinum. If only I could have your interface with their sounds

So, I figured I would try to route the MIDI from EZD2 so that it triggers SSD4 instead of itself, but it appears as through EZD2 will not output the MIDI.

I may be wrong, but some folks on the reaper forum tried to help me with using ReaControlMIDI to reroute it, and the log from that plugin shows no MIDI notes escaping the EZD2 VSTi.

So, just to confirm, is this even possible? If not, will the EZ Player Pro do what I am looking to do?

Have you tried ‘Enable MIDI Out’ in the menu?

Guess I should have done a better job of reading the manual. Didn’t notice that in the menu before.

Will give it a try and report back.

Got it resolved. If anyone else on here is curious to do the same thing, please check this reply on the reaper forum, combined with the suggestion here to enable MIDI out
