Let me see if I can explain this in a way that makes sense. This just started happening within the last couple weeks. In my project I sometimes use a midi keyboard to do simple fills. I use EZ Drummer 2. I record the fill and it all sound right. I can play it again and again with no issue. However if I reboot my computer those fills seem to change which percussion gets hit. What was a kick now plays like a snare or something. I look at drum editor in the DAW and the hits are on the right drums. If I click on the drum in the drum editor it makes the right sound, but in playback it doesn’t. I can rerecord it (which I have now done twice and seems I will have to do again) and it works again for a while. I was hoping merging my fills with the surrounding drum samples (all the drum samples are fine) would help, but it didn’t. I need some troubleshooting steps. Is it something my computer is doing? I am using Mixcraft 8 pro. There have been updates to Mixcraft and some of the EZdrummer stuff, but this happened before I did the updates (I was hoping the updates would fix it). I havent changed any EZ Drummer settings other than levels since I started the project.
Thanks,
Steve
