Hello,
maybe strange – I used a Yamaha Set from SD3 to record a few songs (LogicX, Midi-Cable from TD-30 into the iMac, Midi-Settings to TD-30). Now i changed the set to one of the Jazz EZX Expansion and the Midi-Mapping is different. So I changed everything to fit, record a song, save everything and want to edit an older project with the other kit and the mapping is wrong (because I changed for the Jazz Set).
Questions:
Is this normal?
Can I save this settings so i can move between these settings without changing the mapping?
Is it a problem only between EZD and SD3?
So firstly you are using the edrum settings to change and not the settings on the main page?
so I take it you loaded the td30 preset? This is what I did but then I had to make different presets for different kits. I have my td30 trigger inputs fully utilised do I had to make changes. All you do is make changes and then save a edrum preset (save as) I have a few named for different kits and configurations.

Hi,
if you load a Preset on the MIDI In/E-drums page, it should still be active if you switch Library.
If you load a Project where this MIDI Preset is not applied, you have to apply it and re-save the Project.
A good idea is to Set your own Default Project with the MIDI Preset applied. This way your MIDI Preset is active from start when opening SD3.
As Mark King points out, changing MIDI assignments on the DRUMS page (main) alters the actual note positions for drums and articulations and breaks compatibility with Toontrack MIDI.
Applied MIDI Presets or changes to MIDI Presets on the MIDI In/E-drums page transforms incoming notes either from your DAW or E-drums to SD3.
This makes it possible to use both E-drums to record to the SD3 track and mix it with Toontrack MIDI.

Hi Erich,
as far as I know you are able to save your custom mapping sets on the mapping page.
But it is really quite strange that your mapping changes by choosing another default kit in SD3. . . .
