no, mapping in EZdrummer is fixed. We only support electronic drums inside our own hosts, Toontrack solo. There you can select a special ‘e-drum’ configuration that will re-map all triggers appropriately for the DTXplorer. I use this exact same configuration for gigs in fact and it is working flawlessly.

I know it is not the answer you wanted to hear, but that’s the bottom line, only e-drum through solo I’m afraid, or you should consider upgrading to Superior Drummer, which has full remapping features, and much more (when it comes to e-drums, and many other aspects).

That said there may be ways for you to on-the-fly redirect the notes in PT10, but I’m not aware of any (then again I don’t pretend to be a PT expert).

incidentally, you should upgrade to EZdrummer 1.3.1 which has, it won’t resolve your predicament but it has at least one bug relevant to ProTools fixed.

    Rogue,
    I don’t completely understand.
I just purchased EZDrummer and the expansion “The Classic” and I love both.
But I need to be able to play my E-Drum kit in my DAW (Mixcraft 6).
What E-Drum kits, make model will work? I am looking for the cheapest E-Drum alternative.

As Rogue points out above, EZdrummer with e-drums is only supported in Toontrack Solo, not in other hosts (Mixcraft 6). That’s not to say it won’t work but there is not way of ‘remapping’ articulations in EZdrummer so use in other hosts is hit or miss (pardon the pun).

    Scott,
EZ Drummer and “The Classics” works great and sounds great in Mixcraft 6, with the drag and drop midi files. But I have to be able to map to my E-Drum kit or the EZDrummer software is useless to me.
It looks as though I should have purchased Superior Drummer which has E-Drum mapping capabilities? I just spent 247.00 on EZdrummer and the classics and I cant use it.
Who do I talk to about getting an access code to download Superior drummer? I need to have a drum midi map. please help.

    Scott,
I just spent 247. on EZDrummer which I can’t use.
Will ToonTrack be able to help me in the cost somehow or are you telling me no and to buy Superior Drummer for another 200?
I see that SD is running at 349 on your site. Would I able to pay the 102.00 difference?

I’m not sure about any of that.

You can try contacting Toontrack directly from http://www.toontrack.com and then About->Contact Shipping/Office.
