Will midi mapping be improved with EZD 2? What I mean is I used the regular Pop/Rock kit for the longest time. I finally bought the Nashville EZX and really loved the sound of it. But what I found is when I went back to old projects and loaded up the Nashville kit some of hits were missing, especially cymbal crashes.
Hi Zydrus,
This issue does not sound like its related to a fault in MIDI mapping… It is most likely simply due to the fact that all sound libraries will have slightly different mapping due to the different amount of drums, cymbals, and articulations that each sound library includes.
Therefore, whenever you change the sound library you will likely need to alter the MIDI track if you notice something sounds off.

So as a possible easy work around with the EZD2 since you an interchange all different pieces on the kit. Could I load up the Pop/Rock kit that those sound files came from, then just swap out each individual drums with my Nashville kit?
I suppose this would work… But it would be much easier to simply open the MIDI editor in your host > select all of the notes for a single drum that are incorrectly mapped, and then move them to the correct note.
