Noobie EZ keys user here–I just got the Cinematic Grand library (which sounds great by the way!) and have gotten two of the add on packs. I’ve used EZ drummer for quite awhile and am sort of confused here using the EZ keys. I was able to see the presets of my first add-on pack, Dream Pop, but just purchased/installed the Pop/Rock and I’m not seeing them. The title appears in the menu. Another question is in EZ drummer I’m able switch out variations from certain drum packs and use them on different ones which sometimes is great for unique grooves etc. (like Modern Vintage into Latin Percussion vice versa for instance). What I’ve noticed in EZ keys is you can’t do that. Or am I wrong? It seems iike the Cinematic Grand is always present in the variations that I try, even if it’s Dream Pop. Granted they are both atmospheric but it seems to be the case. Am I going to have to buy a straight very little effects Piano based library to get the piano of the Pop/Rock to work? Thanks in advance for your help.
Can you post a screenshot of your groove library show the Pop/Rock MIDI pack open? If it shows on the browser, I’m not sure why you can’t click on the folders to show the grooves.
There is a between the sound libraries and the MIDI packs. The sound libraries offer instrument sounds (different keyboard sounds) while the MIDI packs only provide MIDI grooves.
If you are looking for different piano sound you would need to purchase a different EZkeys instrument.

Hi Scott,
Thanks for the quick reply. No need to send a screenshot-I am seeing the Pop Rock and Dream Pop pack
grooves and the variations in the Browser. Thanks for clarifying the sound library thing vs the MIDI pack grooves. makes perfect
sense. My MIDI packs are working fine but only with the Cinematic Grand library so that solves that mystery for me.
Kind of wish I’d bought a different library to start out with, but I notice there’s a sale going on with them so
that’s cool! Upon more careful inspection I noticed that the names of the presets in the audio samples for my
MiDI packs aren’t showing in the presets drop down menu in the browser. However I’m thinking those are library generated
from other libraries so they wouldn’t show in there, correct?
So are there any libraries that have sort of a hybrid selection of electric instruments (Rhodes, Mellotron, etc) along with
regular pianos or are they all seperate? The Studio Grand sounds amazing as do the others! As a guitarist with rather
pathetic keys skills I think EZ keys eventually, once I get a couple more libraries, will really set me up with some superb
keys tracks. I love that you can craft your own chords and progressions! Thanks for your input–Mark
PS-Do you think a Hammond B-3 library will be available sometime? That’d be great!
I’m not sure I understand your question regarding MIDI and presets. They are 2 separate things. MIDI show in the MIDI browser. Library presets in the library drop-down menu.
The libraries are mostly separate. There is an electric pianos library. A mellotron library. Upright. All separate.
I don’t have any info to offer regarding future releases but a B3 would be cool.

Hey Scott-
Sorry about the confusion-I do know that the Library and MIDi packs are two different things. Also sorry about the text being all broken up, not sure what happened there. Added the Studio Grand Library, the Jazz and Neo Soul MIDI packs last night. All are working and sounding excellent! Appreciate your replies–have a good day! =Mark
