Midi Help

Hello, I am completely new to the midi world so need some basic help. I have downloaded the EZ Drummer 2 Demo to my laptop and wired the USB from laptop to In/Out of my Yamaha DTX900. The result I got was my Yamaha DTX was playing the on screen EZ Drummer kit, what I wanted to do was the very opposite, I wanted to be able to play the EZ Drummer kits (Sounds) on my Yamaha pads. Where have I gone wrong or is this not possible ? Thank`s for any help.

Hi,

are you running the Standalone?
Did you set up the MIDI and Audio Devices in the Audio/MIDI Setup?
Did you select the Yamaha E-drums MIDI Preset?

I am not sure I follow you correctly when you write

to me it sounds like the same thing. Could you please elaborate?
