Hey guys,
Played out triggering EZD2 this weekend, and the software and the sounds are awesome. We did have one issue we couldn’t resolve – my drummer used a TD-10, and for some reason after a few minutes of play, the bow of his 3-zone ride started triggering a closed hat sound (which would also mute the Ride Edge sound we had triggering from the edge zone of the cymbal). The note number in the module didn’t change, nor did the internal sounds… it just seemed that the 3 zones were confusing EZD2 somehow. We swapped MIDI interfaces and the issue persisted.
As a workaround, we used one of his crashes as a ride, and the bow and edge worked perfectly throughout the set. Frankly, we don’t use a lot of bell anyway. But it would be nice to figure out why for future reference – we want to make our next record on V-Drums triggering EZD2, and we’d like to have all the tools in the bag. Any ideas?
All in all, we absolutely love everything Toontrack brings to market. Great, well-designed, well-implemented software. Huge fans.
Thanks in advance,
-Liam
