If you want your midi controller to controller EZD3, look in the Audio/Midi settings. There will be a list of your midi controllers, select the one you want to use.

My midi controller plays the sounds of EZD3, my question is, when I click on maybe Tom1, it is highlighted, but when I play tom2 or 3 (on my midi keyboard)

the focus stays at tom1, it does not follow my playing.

It will not switch via midi. You must use your mouse.

Hi Mike, I am also concerned with a fairly large number of basic little things that don’t function correctly, I have a feeling EZD3 has been released prematurely and still has a fair way to go to perfect itself, you could say we are beta testing it without actually going through beta testing process, but hopefully in time everything will settle down with updates, it seems these days that’s how it’s done.
No one can produce a working product without an update feature involved.

A well designed product should need a very few updates, your issue is just another little tweak away in a very long list, the upside of it is we have the software to tinker with earlier and if you are not affected by any of those issues you are a lucky Chappy.

So let’s hope the busy bees are hard at work fixing things as we mention them and the new update resolves all our issues.

    EZD3  STUPID WORKFLOW!

Is it just ME or is it EZD3?

I am trying to place a drum track to an already created song in a DAW.

Track 1 has my song without drums

Track 2 has EAZY Drummer 3 in it.

I also have loaded my song to Bandmaster in EZD3

I am using a 27 inch iMac , Big Sir fully updated, and Logic Pro latest version.

Once EZD3 is opened on screen it covers 75% of my screen so using Logic becomes awkward , trying to resize EZD3 is not possible as expected you can not just grab a corner and resize, this is a major problem.

Because EZD3 does not stop and start the DAW you have to continually go to the DAW to stop start it otherwise EZD3 will only play itself and not the DAW which contains my song that I want to hear as I am creating my drums in EZD3.

THIS MAKES AN ABSOLUTE STUPID WORKFLOW.

I want to remain in EZD3 at all times for the reason when editing in grid mode I have a lot more drum control then if I use the DAW, yet EZD3 is forcing me to keep using the DAW to stop start loop etc.

    THIS IS STUPID WORKFLOW!

I expect to open EZD3 full screen and forget the DAW in the background, ALL MY NEEDS TO CREATE A FINISHED DRUM TRACK SHOULD BE WITHIN EZD3 I SHOULD NOT NEED TO GO TO THE DAW UNTILL I AM HAPPY WITH MY DRUMS IN SONG MODE THEN I SHOULD HAVE CHOICES TO EITHER DRAG DROP TO DAW TRACKS EXPORT DRUMS ONLY AS AUDIO, EXPORT AS MIDI.

This way I can efficiently create my drums without continually bouncing between the two my screen can be larger to work in comfort  instead of a half naked method that creates hardship from all angles you look at it.

As I said at the moment EZD3 has a stupid workflow, I could go on but it’s time to stop
