New releases and tons of deals – all centered around one of our favorite themes: rock! Power up your songwriting toolbox!
I mainly use EZDrummer 3 and have my main machine with sounds on a PC.
I also have 2 other Macs I use it on, a laptop for travel and a mac mini dedicated to a live edrum setup (with Superior Drummer)
I am trying to get consistency on the file structure so updating is easier, (basically clones of each other from a single folder)
What I have been doing is dumping all the MIDI files in a folder called MIDI inside of the EZDrummer (sounds) folder.
I copy the midi out of each sound files folder (for example the Big Stage pack folder, I copy the MIDI out and put it in the main MIDI folder in the EZDrummer folder)
That way it is all in one place, is this the right methodology to do this?
I am also starting to work more with Superior Drummer and want to keep compatibility with my EZDrummer 3 packs and midi files within it.
(I also have EZKeys and EZBass and EZMix, should I be doing the same for these?)
Thanks for any input!
Hi,
manual tinkering of the files and folders inside the ‘Library/Application Support/EZdrummer’ folder breaks update and general functionality. Makes things harder to trouble-shoot and give support for as well.
Compatibility between EZdrummer 3 and Superior 3 is automatic if they are left at Default on your system.
I recommend leaving stuff inside the other plug-ins’ Home directories as is as well.
BR,
John
