I was editing some groves last night, and today, my midi files are gone, they haven’t been moved and are where they were yesterday physically, but they don’t show in EZD3?

Are they on a drive that isn’t plugged in or not working?

Tried restoring the database, that didn’t work, I have everything on a network volume, )over 10gbe,) and it has been working fine, my sounds are all there.

I can’t figure out what happened and why it isn’t working now…

This is on a PC, the install on my Mac works fine…

    version 3.0.6

    What does Product Manager show?

    Have you tried reinstalling?

Has the way your PC sees the network volume changed in any way, such as your mapped drive designation?

you will probably want to start from there

Head scratcher as the MIDI Database and the sample folders are located under the same master directory/folder.

Under: Library Paths tab, can you open the path using finder/explorer via the hamburger menu to the right of the path for “Sounds and MIDI Libraries”.

Do you see what you are expecting?

The product manager says there are updates avaialbel and that the midi database is not installed. I have tried installing it several times, it says it completeed, but never updates??

I also tried copying the EZDrummer 3 folder locally with no luck.

So odd that this worked then stopped overnight.

What is the best way to do a clean install, delete everything in the program data folder?

    Hi,

to start from scratch, I would start with Uninstalling from the Product Manager, then check for possible residue in locations according to the FAQ:
    https://www.toontrack.com/faq/where-are-my-files-located/

Make sure you still have both read and write permissions on the desired location for your custom installation and if you need to check on how to relocate your Sound libraries and MIDI:
    https://www.toontrack.com/manual/ezdrummer-3/9/9-4-the-settings-menu/9-4-4-the-libraries-paths-tab

Perhaps a disk health check is in order as well?

    BR,
    John

Instead of deleting the folder, rename it to Toontrack.old.

I would probably caution against any type of (un)install in this particular case, for the reason that you could jeopardize your Mac’s ability to see your MIDI and other libraries.

I would first look at the way your PC is connecting to your network drive.
