    Hi All,

When I try to drag or select my midi file, nothing happens.

I am using Studio One to record a guitar riff, saving as a MIDI and dragging it from computer desktop. Nothing loads, nothing happens.

Yes, I am converting it to MIDI within the Studio One DAW.

Would it be possible to zip the MIDI file up and post here?

    Here you go.

    Hi (again)

So the first thing I noticed is the MIDI file is only 14 bytes. Which is probably too small for a MIDI file. So I tried to drag it back Studio One and I get the error “The file is broken or could not be opened”, which I thought would happen.

I assume you are using Melodyne to convert the audio to MIDI.

Have you tried just dragging the original guitar riff to bandmate in Studio One?

In addition if you want to zip the folder that the song is in and post it here I can test the entire process out on my rig.

Are you using Studio One V6? I have both V5 and V6 rigs. Nothing earlier than that.

    Thanks Brad,

Im very new to this, it can get daunting figuring it all out. A quick overview and tutorial would be awesome.

Here is the file, please don’t mind the bad timing, im still playing around with things. Just hitting buttons at this point.

No worries mate, we’ve all been there. The zip file only contained the EZDrummer 3 project, but is missing the file; “EZdrummer 3 Audio 26 Oct 2022 16_42.wav”

It would be best to zip the Studio One .song file

Here are some resources to get you started:

The screen print attached is one of my songs; I need you to zip up everything in the folder of the Studio One song you are working on.
