I’ve purchased Toontrack EZDrummer, Latin Groove plug-in, and EZ Player Pro and currently use Garage Band on an iMac. Here’s my question…. I’m using a Casio PX-3 keyboard to create tracks. Garage Band recognizes the keyboard as does EZ Player and EZ Drummer… I’m having a little trouble getting the Latin Grooves to work in Garage Band, but I think I can figure that one out on my own. My keyboard built-in memory and memory cards/sticks will only work with MIDI, Garage Band doesn’t output any MIDI.
Can the combination ToonTrack Solo, EZ Drummer, EZ Player ‘create’ new MIDI files either through the drum visual interface or via the keyboard, or should I look at purchasing a more ‘robust’ DAW such as Logic which will output MIDI. The midi grooves supplied with the Toontrack software are easy to work and I can compose within EZ Player however, I’d really like to work with MIDI generated from the keyboard into the computer. I’ll be using the memory cards as a way to play along with a particular, timed groove during live performances… that’s the goal.
