I have a MIDI drum clip on a track in my DAW. But I cannot drag the clip from the track in to EZbass Grooves MIDI Drop Zone. I know I can export this as a file, but that is not the workflow I’m interested in.
Seems like we should be able to copy a drum MIDI clip from a track, and then paste it into the MIDI Drop Zone. But this isn’t possible either.
Does anyone know if pasting a MIDI clip into MIDI Drop Zone is a feature on the way? Or is there an idea page I can submit this to?
It’s a limitation with the DAW. Some DAWs allow dragging from DAW to a plugin. Most don’t.

Rather than dragging, which I understand might not be possible. how about utilizing copy & paste instead? I would simply right click the clip in the DAW, choose copy, then right click on the MIDI Drop Zone and choose paste.
I would think using copy/paste between DAW and a plugin would would be the same as a drag and drop as far as the DAW is concerned.

In my DAWs (Reaper or Luna), when you drag and drop a clip, you are moving it…not copying it.
