I have midi on a song track that will change by itself when i copy a section downstream, delete a section, duplicate etc. This has to be a bug! I’ve even seen it push other midi on the song track to different bars and leave the chords behind. This started when duplicated/Copy my bridge section to another location downstream on the song track, and when i paste it some of the original clips midi moves to different notes. it made it impossible to work. I spent a whole day with Ezbass editing a song and the deeper i got into it the more bugs i found. I will post my other in a new post. I hope this can be fixed asap.
Thanks.
If I understand you correctly, I have experienced the same problem. I copy a section (eg. notes/chords C F G), and when I paste, it is changed to (eg Am Dm etc)..is that what you ate experiencing??
no mine is different although i will need to watch for that.
If copy and paste a section, the piece that I copied from changes some of it’s midi notes when i perform paste down stream. In my case several notes that were all the same were moved to a different note. I experimented with Cut n paste, then re-paste the copy, option drag to make a duplicate, even dragging it to the user midi and back again, but ultimately the big keeps returning when just copying or deleting sections around in the song track. Also if i just delete a section it will at times move all the midi downstream out of sync, the chords and color section stays put, the midi slides. something has to be corrupt.
Maybe you can send us a project file and exact steps how to reproduce the bug(s) after loading that project?

Hi Olof,
that sounds like the best way. how should i best send the file and notes to you?
Thanks
You could open a support ticket and supply everything there, or attach the file to a post here. Best to zip it first.

Thanks Olof, Here are the notes ,pic, and and zip file of project to re-create the bug. Cheers, Luke
Bug 1
Goto bar 125
select Green Bridge
Delete or Cut
All midi downstream slides later out of sync (as in the picture)
undo before next bug test
Bug 2
Goto bar 125
select Green Bridge
Copy , (or Option Drag)
paste it anywhere
All the other bridges midi now changes, except the one you just pasted. Most noticeably the G notes drop to D
Bug 2 /Method 2
Deleting any midi clip before bar 106 also changes the Bridges midi
Bug 3
Selecting Chords to extend them to bar heads and tails, or delete chords also changes the midi randomly, not always, but often.
Note that the Verse Chorus section before bars 106 do not have these issues.
My song building process
I used tracker to create the midi before editing it in the song track.
I worked on the first half (verse, fill, chorus) before bar 106 with no bugs, it is more strait forward then the outro.
A day latter i tracked the outro section, a few parts at a time. tracker left many gaps in the chords which i would expect, so i ignored that for now as i would just patch them once i’m done editing the bass line midi for the whole song, then i could correct the chord changes and boundaries last. I cant help but feel the chords being chopped up with gaps have something to do with these bugs.

Thanked by: Olof HermanssonMe too, it’s driving me nuts. Whenever I copy and paste anything in the song track, it changes some notes in some of the previous sections at seemingly random places. I see there is an asterisk appears on the chords where it changes the notes. Makes it a very frustrating process trying to get a track together when you have to keep going back through the things you’ve done to correct them. I can’t even see the logic in the notes it changes. Anyway, I hope they can fix it soon, I’ve never had a problem with Toontrack stuff before, so hopefully they’re onto it, or at least an explanation of the reason why it’s doing this.
These bugs are unfortunately not fixed in version 1.0.6 released today but we’ll definitely try to fix them for the next update.

Thanked by: LDGExcellent. It would be nice if you could lock song sections when you’re done with them.

EZbass version: 1.0.5
Operating system: macOS Catalina (10.15)
I agree, this would be a great feature.
@Olof
Hey there, I’m pretty certain after working on a new song that this bug has something to do with the chords track. I tried to extend the chords to bar boundaries, filling in the gaps, and it moves midi around, so Im pretty sure they are related. On the demo i sent you I tested deleting the chords track and i could then copy and paste the midi fine, no errors. I hope that info helps to eradicate this bug.
Are you able to give me a status update as to this fix?
Thanks
