Hi, I’m not sure if this forum is the right one to address my issue but I’ll try…I just bought the “Metal! EZX” for Ezdrummer 3 today and immediately tried it but was shocked and disappointed. I also have “Drums of destruction, Metal machine, Made of metal, Modern metal and Rock solid expansions and they are awesome, all of them have real drum brands and version names. This expansion has none, just simple definition like names. And I think the sounds overall are terrible. Out of all the pieces of any kit, there are very very few ones that could work for me. And the original mix doesn’t even have a bottom snare option.
OK, we can argue about sounds but why don’t the pieces have their real names? This is a very low quality expansion and I’m very disappointed.
It’s an EZD1 product, so it is presented as such.
If you look on the product page you can see the name brands.
If you want to avoid the version 1 products you can look in the System Requirements on the product page and it will tell you which version of EZD is required to use it. In this case is says EZD1, so you know how old it is. I think it’s more preference when it comes to tones than age of product. But you’ll get more features with newer products generally.
I still use this EZX to date. I still like it.

Hmm, so it’s very old…I didn’t know that, thanks for the info. Actually, after going deeper I found some better sounds by changing the kit presets completely, it’s not that terrible.
Regarding the brand names, for example, some of the kits have 2 or 3 snare versions written on the product page. Like “Fat metal room kit” has: “WFL 1954” or “Tama Bell Brass”. How do I know which one I’m using?
