    Hi,

it seems that you downloaded the latest version of EZmix after your post, did installing it solve anything?
    You got screen shots?

    John,
Unfortunately it’s still not working. It’s coming through as clean when applied to the direct signal.
Not sure what kind of shots you’re looking for but let me know if this helps.

    Thanks Eric,

I will pass this one on to my colleagues, since I am out of ideas right now.
Just to clarify, switching to other presets than the Metal on the very same pack produces expected sound?

    Hi,

I may have misinterpreted ‘Clean’, I read it as ‘un-processed’ and upon re-reading your first post, I am pretty sure nothing is wrong.
These presets are mixer inserts and they do not contain Amp presets like the Metal Amps pack. So the guitar presets are for sculpting already amped guitars.

That seems to make sense. In that case, how would I apply them to hear the effect? Sorry to be a bother/novice. I’m used to the amplification packs that you have and not whatever this is, so I just want to make sure I didn’t download something that it doesn’t make sense for me to have. How does it work? From this – So the guitar presets are for sculpting already amped guitars – It sounds like if I have a guitar tone dialed in, say for example from the metal amps pack, I would add it as a new effect on the guitar channel? Just trying to clarify.

    Thanks!

Hey, I’m dealing with the same issue at the moment. I have my EZmix2 updated and going, but like Eric’s my DEI presets (or other Bergstrand presets) doesn’t work, and indeed they have this “insert” text as well. I did understand a bit about what you have helped, but one question came up: do you need to have Metal Amps EZmix pack to get Daniel Bergstrand’s Metal EZmix pack working? Toontrack’s website didn’t have any info about it so that’s why I’m asking. 🙂

Look in the details tab of the Ezmix product pages. If it says “Amplifier”, that patch is a simulated amp. DB Metal is from Ezmix1, amp sim feature added in Ezmix 2. The patch you are trying to use is more for getting an amp source to sit in a mix (eq,comp, fx), you still need the amp sound as the building block. You either need Ezmix expansions with ampsims, or standalone alone ones like Amplitube, Revalver or if your lucky your DAW may come with some.
