I have made an arrangement in EZKeys with Mellotoon and dragged the midi into Logic Pro X.
The midi should start after 12 beats but does sounds from the beginning of the song even though there is no midi data on the track?
To try to solve this I erased the arrangement in EZKeys so that there are just midi on the track in Logic. Still the same….
My last issue is about note off. I have shortened the midi notes to just 1 beat but still the mellotoon plays the notes all the time until a new chords starts and then plays those notes until the next chord. It does not seem to respond to where the mid notes ends.
I find this a bit odd but I am sure there is an obvious explanation…. ;o)
Thanks in advance!
P.S. Both EZKeys and Mellotoon and Logic Pro X are updated to the latest version. I am on a Macbook Pro with OSX 10.9.5
When you drag your MIDI into Logic X, do you uncheck the “Follow Host” button so that the track inside EZkeys isn’t playing?

Thanks for your reply. Hmmm no I can’t find that option… can you please give me a hint where to find it?
Thanks in advance!
Thank you! That did the trick for the first problem.
Now to the second problem:
I have shortened the midi notes to just 1 beat but still the mellotoon plays the notes all the time until a new chords starts and then plays those notes until the next chord. It does not seem to respond to where the mid notes ends.
Thanks in advance!
I am guessing it’s the sustain pedal doing its work.

I have not used any sustain pedal… Is there a way to turn that of.
I made quick fix with volume automation but I would still like to know how to avoid this in the future…. ;o)
Thanks in advance
>I have not used any sustain pedal…
Oh. I got the impression that you had used our MIDI loops
when building your arrangement.

Sorry for being unclear. Yes, this was my first try using your loops.
And from your question do I guess that control of the sustain pedal is in those midi loops… right?
Thanks in advance
That depends on what MIDI you use. The piano MIDI uses a lot of sustain
pedal. It is played by a pianist after all. Not so sure about the more
recently released MIDI pack ‘Keys and Strings’ or whatever it is called.
In any case, you just watch the sustain pedal in the GUI and if it
moves when you play a loop then, yes, there is sustain pedal
action in it. Sustain pedal is CC64, btw.

Thanks a lot for your help. I have found the sustain in the midi editor in Logic now so I can adjust it to my liking…. perfect!
I was not aware that there was so much sustain pedal in the Mellotoon loops but now I know.
Now I think EZKeys will be very useful for me!
