    Hi,

you can’t re-map anything yourself in EZdrummer 2, that’s a feature in the bigger brother Superior Drummer 3.
Did you try the Generic E-drums MIDI Map? Or any of the other ones?

I am not familiar with the Simmons and its note mapping.

I experienced the same exact issue. The work around I found for this is to change the Midi Mapping within the SD600 module. The instructions are on page 24 of the SD 600 manual. https://simmonsdrums.net/app/uploads/manuals/Simmons_SD600_Manual.pdf

Basically you click on the utilities button and then click the edit button until the midi note screen pops up. Then you press the “+” &”-” buttons to map the midi note that you want for the corresponding sound.  I just cycled thru the MIDI notes until I found ones that seemed to correlate to EZ drummer well enough. The hihat settings that worked for me were below as follows

    pedal click:HH_P = midi note 44,

    closed: HH_C = midi note 61,

    half open: HH_H = midi note 46,

    fully open:HH_O=midi note 121

These midi notes gave me what I found to be the best results.

    hope that helps.

I did try all of the other MIDI map options, and the hi-hat still triggers Ride Cymbal when 1/2 open and I have no way of switching out rimshot for side-stick which is what I need.  **It would have been nice to know before I spent $180 on your program that it wouldn’t work with my e-drum kit.  I find that very bad business as to not quantify what will and will not work with different e-drums configurations.  **I do not think I should have to spend over $300 MORE to move up to Superior Drummer 3 – just to get these 2 triggers to work with my e-drum kit.  ***How do I go about getting a refund of the $180 for EZD2 that does NOT work with MY equipment?  Thanks.

Thank you for the reply and sorry it’s taken so long for me to respond, I’ve been having computer issues as well.

I understand and will work on your steps for the Hi-Hat settings, but honestly the one that I would really like to correct is the rimshot to a sidestick as I need the sidestick more than the rimshot in my case.  **Do you know of any good midi settings for these type of triggers in the SD600 module?  I would appreciate any help I can get at this point.  I will be using my kit for 2 live performances next month and would like to get these corrected before then.  thank you!!

    Leveitt:

I was able to change the mapping through SD600 module for the Cross-Stick, as I can now trigger the cross-stick instead of the rimshot.

However, when I tried to remap the HH section, I was not as successful.  I spent about 2 hrs trying different settings and finally figured out by trial and error that I do not eve show a HH_H section to change the voice to?  I have all the others you listed, but NOT the  HH_H for the 1/2 open hi hat?

As a result, I’m still triggering the Ride cymbal sound for the 1/2 open HH and I have NO idea why I cannot get this to come up on my module screen to change?  *Any ideas for how I can change the Open HH settings without seeing the HH_H section?

    Thank you!
