In SD3 you can’t designate drum hits to specific keys, only map them. For instance, Kick 1 Hit is designated to 36 (C1). You can map it to any other key, but it’s designated to 36, no matter what. In Addictive Drums 2 (AD2), you can actually designate any drum to any key.
This presents a problem in SD3.
I’d like to have my drums designated to specific keys in my own choosing, just like in AD2. The reason for this is, when working with drums in Reaper, I’d like to be able to both program my own drums inside of Reaper’s midi editor with a drum layout that suits me, and use imported midi files from SD3:s midi library.
But no matter if I use the default mapping preset in SD3 or my own mapping preset, the midi files I drag into Reaper always plays the designated drums in SD3.
Is this a bug?
Please let me know if I should try and explain the problem more accurately.
