Guys, I am just getting used to tracker. I am using it to take apart a complete drum track, not separate tracks. I know Tracker is not designed for that, but it still work! However, I have a tempo problem on export…
When I am in the Tracker module the drums are extracted and they play nicely along with the audio. The next thing I have done is drop the clip down into the song track and all is still well. But, when I pick up that clip and drop it into the DAW (Studio One 3 Pro) it no longer plays according to the Audio tempo. The most obvious way to see this is that the clip is far longer in the DAW than the audio it is supposed to be playing along with.
I find this no matter what option I take from the Song Track Tempo Map menu.
Observe,
1. I did not use trackers Tempo option. This is because it could not get the tempo right, so I figured I would dump it.
2. I have an accurate tempo map already extracted and sitting waiting in S1, so my hope is that tracker will conform to THAT tempo track and nothing else.
I just know I am doing something wrong, but I cannot find it.
Regards
Adrian
Have you tried to import a tempo map from the S1 project to Tracker? Export a MIDI file from the S1 project (create a new empty MIDI file to export if you need to). Then select the option to import a tempo from a MIDI file found in the Tempo Map menu (to the left of the tempo map in Tracker). Now make sure to export the MIDI from tracker with the Tracker Tempo Map selected, this option is found in the Tempo menu in the Tracker export view. The tempo map in the exported file should now be the same as in the S1 project and the MIDI file should sync with your project.
Hope this helps!
