lowering volume of the sound when you click an instrument

When I’m at rehearsal my mixer levels are not that...

When I’m at rehearsal my mixer levels are not that loud, so when I’m in the drum window if I accidentally click on a drum, the sound it makes full blast is so loud it scares everybody. Is there anyway to adjust that volume.

TD50 > Midi cable > Motu Mk4 > M1max Macbook Pro 64GB ram > Mac OS Monterey > SD3

Never found this a problem. I like it to be full velocity so I know what it will sound like hit hard.

SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors

This will supposed problem will NOT cause tinnitus. Unless you’re working at insanely high levels. Granted it’s a shock but not the issue you’re making it out to be. What kind of level are you working at?
