If I load the Hitmaker default (bought this yesterday) and play a groove (“Every King’s Breath”). The kick and snare are a lot lower in volume compared to the rest of the kit and also compared with other kits included in Superior drummer 3.
This is just my first quick test and I haven’t checked out all of the stuff. But the first default kit is like this.
And then I change to Toontrack “Almost Dry” and then the kick is low but the snare strong. It’s actually a huge difference in both of these (maybe in other kits as well, but I just tried those two now).
Is there something wrong with my settings or is this something someone else experienced?
I’ve attached a mp3 file with a 2 bar groove (the groove is included in the Hitmaker SDX) with the sound from the EZ Drummer 2 Modern default kit. And then the same 2 bar groove with the Hitmaker default kit.
And bar 5 is a fill (from the Hitmaker midi grooves) with the old Modern kit. And bar 6 is the same fill with the Hitmaker default kit. You can hear the last tom is way much louder than the rest of the kit.
