So, that’s it. I have a dissonant, constant sound generated by the Organ EKX running in the latest version of EZ Keys 2. It’s low volume and has the telltale swishy wash of the Leslie speaker. There is no signal indicated in the channel meter, but the organ is generating the tone. Really strange. The constant tone occurs whether the transport is playing or not. When the project is totally at idle, the EKX simply generates this low, dissonant, swirly tone.
I have both Cakewalk DAW and the EKX set to return to zero at stop. I’m using the preset that emulates the Whiter Shade of Pale tone. There are no plugins on the channel, no sends. And ideas of how to fix it appreciated!

Hi!
This is intentionally included in Session Organ EKX. Some presets have a macro that allows you to increase or decrease the noise but it is there by design.

Thanks for the reply. I’ll check out the the noise macro when I’m back at my computer. To clarify, this isn’t simply mechanical noise from a slowly rotating Leslie or analog modeled hum, or anything along those lines. This is a constant dissonant tone at idle.

Depending on the preset the other noises you could be experiencing would be from wear, leakage and cross talk. Those are quite characteristic of the B3.

Please post an audio example of the noise you’re experiencing, name the preset you’re using, and we’ll have a closer look!

Here is audio. As I said, it’s a constant low-amplitude dissonant droning sound, so I boosted in a bit to make it easier to hear. Pale White Shade preset. In the effects, it seems tide to the Mic Control/Lo-Hi Balance. If I turn the control all the way to Lo, it goes away. EDIT: just tried other presets, and it happens on all of them.

Yes, that sounds like the normal noise that is in the product by design.
By the way, warning to any headphone users! That audio file is very loud.

Okay, thanks. Tried to remove the mp3 by editing the post since my question was answered, but couldn’t. Sorry about the volume.
