loose snare sound

I am trying to find a soft snare sound where the snares are very loose. It is to be used on a ballad. Do I need a specific midi pack for this sound or can I create it within a current drum patch?  If yes to creating a patch could someone give me some tips on how to do this. I am attempting to emulate the drums from the tune Words by the BeeGees. Yes, I am that old. lol!

Midi packs do not give you new sounds. But EZXs do.

If you happen to be new. Try lowering the velocity of you snare notes. You’ll get a lot less attack and more snare. Also, if you choose a preset that has more than one snare channel, you’ll be able to turn of the snares/wire mic to emphasis a less aggressive sound.
