Loop Region in Tracker not working

just updated to 3.3.2 – the loop region in the tracker gets to the end of the highlighted region and stutters/makes a weird sound. Haven’t tried this in the song track but will do so later. not sure if this is already a known issue.

can someone else please confirm if they have a similar issue? I’m on windows 11 home, version 22H2, os build 22622.290. Should I roll back to a previous install? I’ve never had to do that so is it even possible?
