Everything that comes up in my search is heavy and over powering. Even the ballads sound like hard rock to me. I have the songwriter’s pack.
Do I have to alter existing tracks? I am really trying to avoid drumming. I just want simple accompaniment. Any help is appreciated.
Have you tried the Show Webshop MIDI in your search?
Something from the Country Grooves MIDI pack may work.
If you’re looking for simple in the MIDIyou currently have, you can take a more complex groove that is close to what you want and use the Edit Play Style functions to simplify it.

Thanked by: meadowman***Scott beat me to it and you should certainly see if the Country midi has what you need. Here some more detail on the Edit Play Style
Hey Meadowman. I am curious, are you using the features that came with EZD2 to customize your beat? I opened EZ real quick before replying with your “Even the ballads sound like hard rock to me. I have the songwriter’s pack.” comment. And wanted to share a workflow with you just in case you’re not familiar.
If I wanted to lighten something up, I might select an appropriate Library Preset first, like from the EZ Drummer 2 Vintage Kit (if you have no EZX packs). Now grab any beat from your Browser or Search Tab. A Death Metal Beat, a Songwriting beat, literally anything that grooves and drag it to your Song Track and open it in your Edit Play Style feature, by double clicking the Midi Block or right clicking. Simply turn the Velocity and Amount knobs down while All Playing Drums is selected in the drop down menu. Just listen for a ballpark satisfaction of what you’re looking for and when you get there, then choose individual instruments in the drop down menu and keep adjusting the knobs until you work out what you’re looking for. With all aforementioned steps, I could get something from my Death Metal library to play a Country ballad.
The Edit Play Style feature give you the ability to play Producer, while EZD2 is your drummer in the studio. You can’t take the sticks out of the drummers hand and play the beat yourself (that would be Tap2Find/Song Track Recording features), but you can give the drummer feedback of what you’re going for and he (it) will respond. Hope that helps.
An Edit PlayStyle vid here.

Thanked by: meadowmanThe edit play style may be the key for me. Thank you.
I will watch those videos.
Follow up: Is there a quick way to clear the entire Song Track? It seems I have to click on each section separately to remove it.

Right click on an empty space in the Song Track>Select All>Remove.
Have fun with it, EZD2 will get easier and then more intuitive. Good luck.
