Man, sounds like you did things the hard way, sorry to say. You probably could have done it all with SD3’s EQ (it’s quite versatile), before adding some samples (I usually do this for their transients).

As for the cymbals, they are natural at the moment. Panning everything out is more unnatural. However, routing them to their own channels will take care of that. Note that if you start using room channels alongside, it may start sounding even more unnatural.
