I went to see Janet Jackson the other day. Great show, and it brought back memories of that huge drumsound Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis created for her. You know, that gated snare from ‘What Have You Done For Me Lately’ and ‘Escapade’, for example. Any idea which EZX can create those kind of sounds? Thanks in advance!

The Jam & Lewis-sounds, but also that Phil Collins In the Air Tonight-type drums? I know they’ve done something similar for Superior Drums

as I mentioned previously you can create the same type of sound in EZ Drummer using a DAW using a compressor and a gated reverb. I have done this a number of times with the core library. FYI, the Hitmaker SDX you are inferring uses a similar trick inside Superior Drummer 3.
