Hey all — I’m new to EZdrummer and Logic 8, I used to be a PC guy with no drum machine. I’ve installed everything and I can get to the point where I pull up a drum track, open up EZdrummer in the logic window…and then I’m stuck. I have full functionality as far as drag-and-dropping the loops, but I can’t figure out how to use EZdrummer to record directly.
What I’m looking to do is hit the record button, play the drums with my mouse or use the MIDI keyboard on the bottom of the screen to record with. I currently don’t have a keyboard to connect to the computer, since I don’t have the cords. Someone please help!

If you can record any midi from your keyboard, you should be able to record drums. Keep in mind though, that there is a latency from when you hit a key and when the drum starts to sound. So it might be difficult to keep time.
