I’ve recently returned to recording and have been using EZ Drummer/Bass/Keys and Superior Drummer. Every time I open an existing Logic Pro X project with 1 or more of these plugins these plugins, and other plugins on these tracks, are disabled. Sometimes it takes quite a few clicks on these plugins to get Logic to load them.
Is there a way to keep Logic from identifying Toontrack instruments as unused tracks and disabling them?
This is a resources saving feature in Logic. You can either put an empty MIDI region in each track or disable this feature in the preferences.

Thanked by: John and Scott EshlemanI think the Preference Jord is referring to is this Project Setting:
‘Only load plug-ins needed for project playback’
