Hi,
since two days, whenever I’m working with EZBass Logic crashes after a little bit of editing in EZBass.
Everything is up to date (Logic and Toontrack). Can anyone help?
Johannes
Hi,
We know that splitting a block in the middle of a slide can lead to a crash. If that is not what you have done, could you upload a project where it can be reproduced with certain steps? Crash logs could also give some clue but best is if you can tell us exactly how to reproduce a crash.

Hi Olof,
I can not upload the Logic project, it’s too big for the attachments…
There are no crash logs of Logic or EZBass! At the moment it is still only in this special project…
I also can’t upload the EZBP file, your system says it’s too long… I can reproduce it also in the Standalone version…
I have mailed you a link where you can upload it. Thanks.

Got it. So, how exactly do you reproduce it?

Whenever I try to move a midi note, Ezbass (Standalone) or Logic crashes and I have to end the session! Meanwhile I have it in all projects… Can you reproduce it? Maybe I uninstall everything and install it new, but I didn‘t found a way to do it…
Does it crash or hang/freeze? I can reproduce that it takes a very long time (a few minutes) to move a note in the right-most MIDI block. Something internally in that block has become bad. I’ll try to figure out a way to fix it.

It hangs and freeze directly after trying to move the note! Further working is not possible and Logic or standalone must be restarted..
I have exported the last block to a MIDI file. If you delete that block and drag in this file, it should work better. Some chords may have changed though.
Any idea what you did in that block when (or just before) these problems started? Something with Amount perhaps?

Meanwhile, I dragged and dropped the EZBass file to midi Track, exported it to midi and put again in EZBass, and it works, also, the other project which had the same problem works again, without doing anything. Don’t know exactly what I did… Maybe I changed the amount but I also did a lot of things, which I don’t remember at all. But thanks for your help, hopefully it works for a long time!
Kind regards!

Thanked by: Olof HermanssonBy the way, after working a while, the same error is back, unfortunately absolutely unable to work with, I hope an update makes things better…
I have an crash code after using Logic with EZBass, but your system says that it’s too big for uploading… If you want to have it, would you be so kind to sent a link to where I can upload?
It’s the presence of Channel Aftertouch/Pressure events in the MIDI on the song track that causes issues when you change Amount in Edit Play Style. Channel Aftertouch is not used for anything in EZbass so it would be good if you could make sure there is none in MIDI that has been recorded or imported. In Logic’s “Event List” window, you can remove the Channel Pressure events.
It will be fixed in the next update.

I tried to remove the channel Pressure events in Logic, but everything is very complicated and didn’t’t work. Meanwhile, working with EZBass is not possible anymore, and hangs every time, freezes and so on. When will the update be available? I can’t work anymore….
….have similar problems in standalone or with Ableton (10.1.30). The programme crashes when I move midi notes (not always but unfortunately very often and working is not possible). have already created a ticket, just for info.
